A10 Vthunder Adc Contributes to Customer Acquisition for Kddi Cloud Business With Rich Functionalities and High Performance

KDDI Corporation, a major Japanese telecom provider, needed a more powerful and manageable application delivery controller (ADC) for its KCPS enterprise cloud. The existing ADCs required costly add‑on licenses for features like GSLB and WAF and imposed heavy operational burdens—regular patches, annual license key updates and service interruptions—that threatened customer satisfaction and constrained KCPS’s ability to offer advanced cloud features and business continuity.

KDDI added A10 vThunder ADC via A10’s aCloud services architecture, delivering on‑demand, pay‑as‑you‑go ADC capabilities (GSLB, WAF, DDoS protection, SSL offload) with simplified management and integration. The deployment enabled East/West Japan BCP failover, eliminated annual license key updates to cut operational workload, improved service offerings and helped attract new customers who value built‑in security and high availability.
