A10 Thunder Adc Enables Improved Proxy Server Performance Giving Cloud Service Users A Comfortable Usage Environment

Softbank Corp., a major telecommunications and internet service provider, faced degraded proxy performance as corporate customers rapidly adopted cloud applications like Office 365. Installing dedicated proxy servers per client was too costly and slow, and Softbank needed a scalable, multi-tenant solution with automation to reduce proxy load and manual maintenance.

Softbank deployed A10 Thunder ADC as a shared cloud-proxy platform using Application Delivery Partitioning and a fully open API, which offloads and sorts cloud traffic, automates Office 365 domain updates, and supports SDN/NFV integration. The rollout delivered improved proxy performance and high availability, cut costs by about half, reduced lead times by several months, and significantly lowered operational effort while adding security features (WAF, DDoS protection).
