Wire and Wireless Co., Ltd. (Wi2) is a major public Wi‑Fi provider in Japan whose “Wi2 300” service covers tens of thousands of hotspots. Confronted with global IPv4 address exhaustion and a rapidly increasing number of user devices, Wi2 needed to conserve public IPv4 addresses without degrading application transparency or service stability.

Wi2 selected A10 CGN to implement Carrier Grade NAT, enabling private IPv4 addressing, flexible “max users per IP” controls, HA redundancy and comprehensive logging; A10 and its sales partner also delivered required application‑transparency features quickly so the service launched one month after selection. Six months after deployment the solution has supported more users cost‑efficiently and run stably with no reported application issues.
