VKB Bank Sustainable protection of bank data by Offensity

The VKB-Bank, a universal bank for private and corporate clients in Upper Austria, faced the challenge of protecting its bank data from cyber attacks that threatened the availability and confidentiality of its systems. To identify security vulnerabilities, especially in its new digital and mobile services, they partnered with vendor A1 Digital and its security platform, Offensity.

A1 Digital implemented a solution using Offensity to conduct a permanent, automated penetration test on the bank's external services, mimicking the methods of cybercriminals. This involved intrusive security scans that required explicit permission, continuously monitoring for and reporting on vulnerabilities. The result was an improved level of IT security, allowing VKB-Bank to quickly identify and mitigate weaknesses, which also helped them meet the requirements of internal and external bank auditors.
