Hiller GmbH, a manufacturer of mission-critical decanter centrifuges for industrial separation processes, sought to expand its service offerings by enabling the remote monitoring and future control of its equipment. Partnering with vendor A1 Digital, the challenge was to develop a system capable of retrofitting both new and old machinery to provide deeper operational insights and improved customer service.

A1 Digital implemented a solution using a special gateway agent to collect and translate real-time machine data from PLCs, securely transmitting it to their GDPR-compliant IoT cloud platform. This allowed Hiller to remotely monitor machines, optimize processes, and predict maintenance needs. The solution paves the way for future bilateral communication for remote diagnostics and control, significantly improving the user experience for Hiller's customers and setting the foundation for predictive maintenance services.
