The Swiss technology firm 56k.Cloud was engaged by the Canton of Zug to modernize its public geodata infrastructure, including the ZugMap.ch service. The challenge was to migrate and modernize the applications into a container-ready format, automate deployment processes, and find a cost-effective cloud solution that was also hosted in Switzerland. They chose the Exoscale cloud platform from vendor A1 Digital to meet these needs.

Exoscale provided the infrastructure that enabled 56k.Cloud to successfully containerize all components and implement a DevOps process. This solution drastically reduced deployment times from two hours to just two minutes. As a result, the Canton of Zug can now semi-automatically deploy new versions and flexibly provide all its public geodata services to citizens through Exoscale.
