Aberdeenshire Council’s Property department — a unitary authority in north Scotland with over 100 fee-earning staff — manages more than 400 projects a year and processes over £3 million in fees. Needing a modern, Windows-based time recording and project system that would support remote sites and replace an ageing DOMS setup, Aberdeenshire Council selected Timemaster from Zetadocs Global for time recording, fee invoicing and project management.

Zetadocs Global implemented Timemaster early in 2003, incorporating the council’s bespoke reporting changes and adding a Contracts module for contractor payment production and approval. Timemaster now handles all external consultant and contractor payments and fee invoicing, and Zetadocs Global has delivered a budget monitoring module (integrating capital programme budgets with payments) that is set to replace manual spreadsheets — streamlining approvals, spend forecasting and moving the department toward full tender and contract document automation.
