Clavain Technologies, Ltd. is a small web and systems developer that operates live-stream platforms (SC-Streams.com and SC-Streams.DE) and VOD services for World of Warcraft and Starcraft II communities. Facing high per-source CDN and cloud bandwidth costs in 2009, the company needed a cost-effective, stable way to deliver streaming media to a fluctuating gaming audience and a variety of devices.

Clavain deployed Wowza Media Server software and built a custom authentication plug-in to integrate with gamers’ XSplit workflows, consolidating delivery across its servers in Cologne, London and Ohio.
