The University of Oregon needed a fast, cost-effective way to livestream its premier tennis program to recruits, families, and fans worldwide while meeting Pac-12 technical requirements. Limited staff and budget made the university’s previous camera-and-desktop approach impractical for delivering consistent, high-definition streams.

By deploying six HD IP cameras with onboard encoders and using Wowza Streaming Cloud (with transcoding), the university consolidated multi-court feeds into a single cloud workflow that delivers adaptive-bitrate streams to the Pac-12 player and goducks.com without onsite computers or dedicated camera operators. The program has streamed about 40 home matches (up to six hours each), reduced staffing and infrastructure costs, gained scalable global delivery, and simplified future upgrades.
