How WSC Sports Scales Flexible, Fast, and AI-Driven Sports Video Content

WSC Sports needed a scalable, reliable ingest solution that could handle thousands of live sports streams and integrate into its Azure-based, AI-driven workflow. Using Wowza Video, WSC Sports sought to support real-time highlight automation for major customers like the NBA, ESPN, and the PGA Tour while managing RTMP and SRT feeds across global locations.

Wowza Video implemented a flexible ingest architecture with Wowza Streaming Engine, Terraform, Azure, and Java plugins to enable on-demand scaling and direct-to-cloud output. The result was 398,405 unique streams processed from over 500 clients and more than 950,000 hours of footage delivered for AI analysis, while reducing ingest complexity, latency, and egress costs.
