KPMG - Customer Case Study

KPMG in the UK, a leading professional services firm with over 12,000 people, needed a modern, scalable way to boost employee motivation and retention after previous reward schemes proved inconsistent, outdated and non-strategic. The firm wanted a consistent framework that complemented its People Strategy, enabled ongoing peer appreciation, allowed flexible rewards, and could be rolled out internationally.

KPMG implemented Encore!, a SaaS-based recognition programme that shifted awards from a manager-only model to company-wide, peer-to-peer and long-service recognition, with multilingual support, a cost-of-living adjustment (SOLI) and strategic reporting dashboards. Since its 2008 launch, the scheme produced a 25% increase in employees receiving recognition and a 165% rise in total awards with only a marginal budget increase, creating a stronger culture of appreciation, higher engagement and improved retention.
