How Recognition Became a Cornerstone of Culture-Building at GoTo

GoTo, a Boston-based SaaS and cloud tools company for remote work and IT management, wanted to strengthen employee belonging, connection, and culture across its nearly 3,500-person global workforce. The company needed a recognition program that aligned with its values and DEI/ERG initiatives, and it turned to Workhuman’s Bravo! recognition program to help make that happen.

Workhuman helped GoTo expand Bravo! from a sales incentive program into a company-wide recognition platform, using Social Recognition, Service Milestones, and a Workday integration to embed recognition into daily work and culture efforts. The results were strong: GoTo achieved 95% employee engagement in Bravo!, saw 4x lower turnover among employees recognized by multiple nominators, and 3x lower turnover for employees who both gave and received recognition, while also using the program to support connection across its remote, global teams.
