How CAA Club Group Builds Culture With Recognition

CAA Club Group, a national Canadian organization, faced the challenge of keeping a high-performing culture aligned across provinces and through the 2019 acquisition of Echelon Insurance — especially during remote work. To maintain engagement, foster inclusion, and reduce turnover, they needed a scalable way to connect and recognize people’s contributions beyond day-to-day tasks.

They implemented Workhuman’s Social Recognition program (launched in 2015) using public feeds, rewards, and Service Milestones to let leaders and peers celebrate achievements across Manitoba, Quebec, and Ontario. The result: stronger cross‑team connection and belonging, measurable increases in engagement, and a noted reduction in turnover — underscoring the link between recognition, engagement, and retention.
