Kantonspital Aarau adds 15 new tests 24/7/365 with Siemens Healthineers

The customer, Kantonspital Aarau, faced the challenge of an aging patient population which increased the need for expedited routine coagulation analysis and new special STAT testing. With considerable pressure on profitability, they needed a solution to offer these new services to clinicians. They worked with the vendor Siemens Healthineers and implemented the Sysmex CS-5100 Hemostasis System and Aptio Automation.

The solution implemented by Siemens Healthineers enabled Kantonspital Aarau to significantly expand its testing capabilities. The hospital was able to add at least 15 new tests that were not previously available. A major result is that these new tests are now provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, improving access to care for patients.
