The Maca Team, a seller of premium organic Maca superfoods founded in 2006, serves over 6,000 customers and wanted to accelerate growth by partnering with other entrepreneurs. After ruling out affiliate networks for cost and terms, they trialed Omnistar (OSI Affiliate Software) and chose it over competitors for its stronger feature set and customer support despite the monthly fee.
Using Omnistar’s easy-to-use affiliate pages, tracking codes, banners and search tools, they recruited affiliates quickly—an initial email brought in 15 affiliates and generated enough sales to cover several months of fees. A promotion with a “super affiliate” delivered nearly 1,000 new customers in two weeks, and the team plans further campaigns and ongoing relationships with top affiliates to reach a 2014 goal of 10,000 new customers (about 60% via affiliates).
