College Cuts Its Water Window in Half by Deploying OptiFlow

Davis Technical College worked with HydroPoint Data Systems to address a water management challenge on campus. The landscape maintenance crew lacked visibility into water flow and had trouble scheduling irrigation within a limited water window, often needing to stagger controllers on odd and even days to avoid pressure drops.

HydroPoint Data Systems upgraded the college’s existing WeatherTRAK smart irrigation system with OptiFlow, enabling real-time flow monitoring, automated coordination of seven controllers and 120 valves, and remote management from the cloud. The result was a water window cut from two days to one, along with improved compliance, better visibility into water use, and faster issue detection through real-time alerts.
