The State of Connecticut Extends Ad-hoc Reporting and Data Analysis with Entrinsik Informer

The Connecticut Department of Social Services’ Bureau of Child Support Enforcement struggled to produce timely, flexible reports from its legacy CCSES system: extracting data required a cumbersome pre-processor, reports were static and hard to customize, and report development had to compete for limited enhancement dollars while meeting differing needs across agencies and branches. This left ad-hoc reporting improvised, slow, and dependent on a small IT team and external vendors.

The department implemented Entrinsik Informer for its low total cost of ownership and strong Rocket U2 support, quickly rolling it out to users who began creating and scheduling their own reports and dashboards. Informer consolidated data sources, improved security (user- and column-level access), sped up processing so nightly pre-processes run in under an hour, reduced IT/vendor workload, and increased efficiency and user satisfaction across multiple divisions.
