Largest Community College in North Carolina Creates a Self-Service Reporting Environment with Entrinsik Informer

Central Piedmont Community College, the largest community college in North Carolina, struggled with an inefficient reporting process: IT wrote most queries using Query Builder, reports were stored in multiple locations, and staff wasted time locating or recreating reports. The previous system also lacked fine-grained security, preventing the college from safely extending reporting access beyond a few power users.

After evaluating options, CPCC implemented Informer’s drag-and-drop, web-based reporting tool. IT converted existing reports, configured file mappings and security down to the data element, and trained users by department; the result is a self-service environment with over 300 users, major time and cost savings, increased productivity, and Informer serving as the college’s primary reporting solution.
