Elmhurst University struggled with a reporting bottleneck: non‑IT staff couldn’t access real‑time data without pulling IT away from other work, so IT spent hours writing queries, exporting data for external analysis, and manually customizing reports. The lack of an intuitive, self‑service reporting tool made analytics slow and resource‑intensive across departments.
After implementing Entrinsik Informer in 2009 (and adding Dashboards in 2011), Elmhurst enabled true self‑service reporting and integrated Informer with Colleague, Raiser’s Edge and Kronos. End users now create their own reports and dashboards, receive scheduled reports by email, and the university has produced over 3,000 reports and nearly 100 dashboards—saving hundreds of IT hours, accelerating analytics, and uncovering billing and revenue improvements.
