Chapman University’s IT team faced heavy dependence from departments for customized reports—students, faculty, finance, alumni and donor data requests piled up and users had little ability to run or tweak reports themselves. The university needed a self-service reporting solution to speed access to data and reduce the IT resources spent fulfilling one-off requests.

After trialing and deploying Entrinsik Informer, Chapman gave decision makers web-based, ad-hoc reporting with dynamic table joins, scheduling/emailing, Live Excel integration, LDAP and role security. The change freed IT to focus on core systems, enabled over 100 end users to run roughly 65 scheduled reports weekly/daily, eliminated many computed-column requests, and delivered faster, real-time access to departmental data.
