Barry University Saves Thousands By Moving Key Analytical Reports From Business Objects to Informer

Barry University, a private Catholic university of about 7,000 students, faced rising reporting complexity after moving Admissions data to Salesforce and cutting staff with Business Objects expertise. With over 4,500 reports already running from their Colleague system, the university needed a way to aggregate data across Colleague, Salesforce/Workday and other sources, simplify scheduling, and reduce manual intervention and vendor costs.

By implementing Entrinsik Informer 5 and retraining staff, Barry streamed Colleague data natively, imported Salesforce data into Informer Workspaces, and blended sources with Informer Flow Steps and PowerScript to create curated datasets and dashboards. The change eliminated days of manual work (saving roughly three days per process), enabled many analytical reports to move off Business Objects (saving thousands of dollars), improved scheduling and accuracy, and empowered users to self-serve reporting for admissions, finance, tax and registrar needs.
