Performance Contracting Inc. (PCI), one of the largest drywall and specialty contractors in the U.S., needed a better way to manage its change order process and reduce revenue lost to incomplete, late, or misplaced T&M tags. The company also wanted more real-time visibility into extra work revenue and fewer delays caused by back-and-forth revisions with general contractors. PCI turned to Clearstory’s change order communication platform to streamline the workflow.
With Clearstory, PCI digitized T&M tags, attached photos and documentation from the field, and centralized change order requests in one cloud-based system. The result was a major productivity boost, with project managers saving 2–4 hours per week and reducing the time from signed tag to submitted COR. PCI also cut lost revenue from lost or rejected T&M tags by more than 90% and reduced COR revision back-and-forth with GCs by over 50%, while improving reporting through the Days Aging report.
