C.A. Short implemented a safety incentive program designed to engage employees and encourage positive behavior changes. The results were strong: highly engaged employees were 5x less likely to have a safety incident and 7x less likely to experience lost time due to a safety incident, with average safety incident costs dropping from $392 for disengaged employees to $63 for engaged employees.
