Itaú partnered with Blip to expand its long-running “Leia para uma criança” book-distribution initiative from the physical world into digital channels. The challenge was to democratize access to reading and reach more people in Brazil through a format that would be easy to use and widely available.
Using Blip’s platform, Itaú created a WhatsApp chatbot, or intelligent contact, that delivered exclusive PDF editions of three children’s books and made them easy to share and read anywhere. The campaign generated more than 2.5 million book downloads, reached over 800,000 users, and drove around 8 million messages, with the entire experience managed automatically on the Blip platform.
