St. Louis Public Schools boosts ELA growth to 88% with 95 Percent Group

St. Louis Public Schools, a large urban Missouri district, faced the challenge of inconsistent foundational literacy instruction across its many classrooms. To accelerate student learning and create instructional coherence, especially given its diverse and highly mobile student population, the district partnered with 95 Percent Group to implement its One95 Literacy Ecosystem.

The solution included using 95 Percent Group's 95 Phonics Core Program for Tier 1 instruction and the 95 Phonics Lesson Library for Tier 2 intervention. This was paired with robust professional learning to ensure consistent implementation. The results were significant, with pilot schools achieving 100% target growth for all student groups and an 88% overall ELA academic achievement growth. 95 Percent Group's structured literacy system led to fewer students requiring intensive support and a marked increase in teacher confidence and instructional alignment across the district.
