MSR Design achieves Living Building Challenge Materials Petal with 75F

MSR Design, an architecture firm based in Minneapolis, faced significant indoor air quality (IAQ) challenges and occupant complaints in their former headquarters. Needing a new space that aligned with their health and wellness standards and that could qualify for the rigorous Living Building Challenge Materials Petal certification, they turned to vendor 75F for a building control solution.

75F installed an IoT-based system with Smart Nodes, sensors, and a Central Control Unit to monitor and enhance IAQ. This solution allowed MSR Design to identify and help correct a previously undetected building-wide CO2 issue. As a result, the firm successfully achieved the Living Building Challenge Materials Petal certification, the first in Minnesota to do so, and occupant complaints about IAQ and comfort virtually disappeared. 75F's system also enabled building operators to efficiently catch and fix other issues, like a broken window.
