Bright Power, a nationwide leader in strategic energy solutions for building owners, needed a way to address simultaneous heating and cooling in its New York headquarters. To improve comfort and reduce energy waste, the company partnered with 75F to pilot an IoT-based building controls solution that could work with its disparate HVAC systems, including radiator valves and a packaged air-conditioning unit.

75F deployed its Facilisight web and mobile platform, along with PI loop control for 15 steam radiators and scheduled control for the air-conditioning unit. The pilot cut cooling energy by about 3x and heating energy by about 2x, while also eliminating simultaneous heating and cooling, reducing equipment runtimes, and improving occupant comfort. Bright Power also gained centralized visibility and control through 75F’s open-source system.
