Border Foods - Customer Case Study

Border Foods, one of the largest Taco Bell franchisees in the nation, was facing persistent comfort and ventilation issues across its restaurants, especially in the kitchen and dining areas. Extreme heat imbalances, sub-cooled zones, solar gain from large windows, and poor building pressure were hurting employee comfort, retention, training, and productivity. 75F addressed these challenges with its Dynamic Airflow Balancing solution, along with Outside Air Optimization and Building Pressure Control.

75F installed internet-connected airflow balancing devices, including central control units, zone controllers, and modulating dampers, and commissioned the system in less than a day. The result was a more uniform temperature throughout the building, immediate relief from kitchen heat islands, and improved dining room comfort. Border Foods also improved building pressure from -0.19” WC to 0.03” WC, eliminating drafts and door-opening issues, while the system’s weather-aware controls helped drive energy savings during unoccupied periods.
