Spirit Energy boosts leadership training for 2,000+ managers with 5app

Spirit Energy, a British multinational oil and gas company, faced the challenge of developing deeper, future-proof leadership skills in its middle managers to meet its ambitious 2050 net-zero goal. To move beyond technical training, they needed a new programme to help leaders build self-awareness, foster psychological safety, and think more strategically. Partnering with vendor 5app and content provider Hemsley Fraser, they implemented the LEAD for Team Leaders learning journey.

The solution, powered by the 5app LMS and delivered via The Leadership Hub, was a 12-15 week virtual programme featuring 'little and often' learning. Since its April 2022 launch, over 2,000 managers have participated, achieving a 4.5/5 satisfaction score. The programme resulted in marked increases in desired leadership mindsets and behaviours, significantly advancing the company towards its strategic objectives.
