TELE 5 is a German free-to-air TV channel known for curated feature films and a top-10 audience reach. With an average of 10–15 program titles a day and over 500,000 image assets, the station struggled with a manual, folder-based workflow: images were stored, labeled and reformatted by hand, causing duplicate or incorrect assets and making it hard to combine the channel’s editorial metadata (stored in separate programming software) with the right visuals for program guides, VOD and marketing.

By integrating 4ALLPORTAL’s DAM via a REST API, TELE 5’s programming system now sends text and metadata to the DAM’s “Program” module, which links a key image plus additional assets to each title and ties them to the program ID. Photo editors select and push prepared image+metadata packages to all channels automatically, eliminating folder chaos and errors and cutting image-management workload by about 30%—a “quantum leap” in efficiency and digitization.
