FIITJEE’s Digital Transformation Journey with 42Gears

FIITJEE, a pan‑India coaching institute for competitive exams, wanted to digitize its learning delivery by issuing Lenovo and Samsung Android tablets to students and teachers while preventing recreational use. To meet requirements—kiosk lockdown for student devices, remote updates to study material, and a partially restricted teacher mode that still allowed apps like YouTube/WhatsApp plus calls and messaging—FIITJEE turned to 42Gears and deployed its SureLock and SureMDM solutions.

42Gears implemented kiosk mode, app whitelisting and remote content management across the tablets so admins could push updates and tests centrally while teachers retained limited app and communication privileges. As a result, time to update and distribute study material, questionnaires and tests was significantly reduced and overall operational efficiency increased; FIITJEE cites 42Gears’ UEM tools as key to keeping devices secure and purpose‑specific.
