Ever Africa, an ICT venture focused on socially impactful technology, launched the Namola security app to let citizens send GPS-based alerts to Tshwane Metro Police responders. The responders used Huawei Android phones that could be distracted by other apps and generate excessive mobile-data costs, so Ever Africa sought a lockdown solution and selected 42Gears’ SureLock to restrict devices to the single purpose of receiving Namola alerts.
