A 42Gears Case Study
Al Dhafra Private School, the largest school in the UAE with two campuses and more than 2,600 students, introduced Android Lenovo tablets to support digital learning but faced unmonitored devices, unauthorized apps, security risks, and difficulty pushing approved content to both school-issued and BYOD devices. To solve these challenges the school partnered with 42Gears and its UEM solution (SureMDM and SureLock) to provide centralized device management, content delivery and lockdown capabilities.
42Gears implemented SureMDM and SureLock with geofencing, time-fencing and kiosk-mode policies to automatically launch the school portal on campus, block unauthorized apps and remotely push app updates and study materials. As a result, app distribution time fell from hours to minutes, students can only access approved educational apps and the school reports improved focus and a forecasted 30% increase in mobile device adoption by the end of 2018.
