Florida-Based Hospitality Firm, a provider of cabana and poolside VIP services at top resorts in Florida, deployed LG smartwatches and Samsung tablets running Android to speed guest service but struggled to centrally manage 800+ devices. They needed a way to lock devices to a single hospitality app, remotely install and update software, control peripherals (Bluetooth/camera) to save battery, and track inventory — challenges that left them without control and caused cumbersome, time-consuming device administration. 42Gears (using SureMDM and SureLock as part of its UEM offering) was engaged to address these issues.
42Gears implemented remote management and OTA app installation, notification policies for low battery, lockdown to a single-application workflow, and restriction policies (disabling Bluetooth on watches) while enabling central device inventory and control. After three months with 42Gears, table turnover fell from 40 to 27 minutes (a 32.5% reduction), hotels served more guests, servers reported higher tips, and technical incidents dropped, improving overall operational workflow.
