Osram faced an urgent supply problem when the shielding glasses they’d relied on for over 20 years went out of production; buying individual glasses in varying strengths would have been more expensive and slowed down their high‑end light bulb assembly. 3YOURMIND’s AM Services stepped in to provide additive‑manufacturing expertise, using CT scanning, reverse engineering and SLS (PA‑12) production to recreate the obsolete parts.

3YOURMIND performed a non‑destructive CT scan of a broken pair, rebuilt the geometry from voxels, optimized CAD for SLS, and 3D‑printed a prototype with ergonomic, detachable side panels and replaceable frame components. The delivered prototype restored Osram’s on‑floor eye protection, avoided costly and workflow‑disrupting purchases of multiple specialty glasses, and enabled production to continue safely.
