The customer, TÜV SÜD, a global provider of testing, certification, and safety services, faced the challenge of qualifying and certifying 3D printed parts, a process that was difficult and time-consuming due to a lack of established standards. This was especially critical during the COVID-19 crisis when rapidly producing certified medical supplies was a priority. They collaborated with the vendor, 3YOURMIND, to address this.

3YOURMIND implemented a platform to gather product and production data to evaluate qualification steps, alongside an order management tool and a Digital Inventory of qualified parts. This solution made TÜV SÜD's certification services more accessible to customers and helped ensure 3D printed parts met necessary standards. The cooperation aimed to accelerate the adoption of additive manufacturing across various industries by streamlining a fundamental quality assurance process.
