A 3xLOGIC Case Study
Ted’s Pawn, a family-owned pawn shop in Norwood, OH (originally opened in 1970 and operating as a pawn shop since 1984), needed better protection for its outdoor lot of high-value items—cars, motorcycles and boats. While the store interior had analog cameras and audio alarm verification, the exterior remained vulnerable and the company faced challenges with installation, connectivity, reliability and false alarms when trying to add video verification.
Ted’s integrated a 3xLOGIC hybrid NVR with Sonitrol’s monitored panel, using analytics to link existing outdoor cameras to the central station for verified video alarm feeds (the interior continues to use analog cameras with audio verification). The upgrade cut false alarms, sped police response and resulted in multiple incidents where suspects were stopped before entering the building—including a recent apprehension—and the system can be scaled with IP and thermal cameras.
