Estill County EMS Successfully Deploys 3xLOGIC infinias Access Control to Meet Wide-Ranging Security Goals

Estill County EMS needed a stronger security solution for its 24/7 operations, with primary goals to secure the medical room storing controlled substances (per DEA requirements) and to keep staff safe while allowing them to clear the facility quickly in emergencies.

The Board selected 3xLOGIC’s infinias access control (installed late 2016) to manage eight doors across the main building and a sub-station. The system sends real-time alerts for medical-room access, allows centralized remote management from any Internet-connected computer, supports about 40 employees plus contractors and temporary hospital users, uses five access sub-groups to limit privileges, and has proven user-friendly and effective for the EMS team.
