Union Savings Bank, a Western Connecticut financial institution with 18 locations, needed to replace outdated DVRs with a more “future-proof” surveillance platform that could speed investigations and improve fraud detection. The bank turned to 3VR and its Video Intelligence Platform (VIP) through integrator United Alarm to get better video quality, enterprise search, facial recognition, and remote monitoring capabilities.
3VR implemented the VIP Appliance across Union Savings Bank branches, later expanding from an initial 10 locations to all 18, and added facial surveillance and license plate recognition for stronger evidence gathering. The result was the ability to store 80 times more video, cut investigations from hours to minutes, and produce more enforceable cases, while helping reduce fraud and improve safety for staff and customers.
