Hilton Americas-Houston, the largest convention hotel in Houston, needed a better way to search and manage footage from its 130 surveillance cameras, which were tied to eight basic DVRs. With support from integrator Tyco Integrated Security, Hilton turned to 3VR to improve investigations, strengthen safety, and get more value from its existing video system.
3VR implemented its video intelligence platform, including P-Series Video Recorders, Enterprise Manager, Case Manager, and analytics such as facial surveillance and license plate recognition. The results were significant: investigation times improved by 75%, time-card fraud was reduced, missing-item cases were closed in minutes, and the hotel saved hundreds of thousands of dollars annually; Hilton Americas was so impressed that it expanded the system with more 3VR appliances and 70 additional cameras.
