Chico’s FAS, the specialty apparel retailer behind Chico’s and other brands, was struggling with shrink from employee theft and shoplifting across more than 1,200 stores. Its five-person loss prevention team needed a budget-friendly, easy-to-manage solution, and the existing CCTV setup made archived video slow to access, difficult to share, and too cumbersome for timely investigations.

Working with Protection 1, Chico’s implemented a 3VR solution using S-Series Hybrid NVRs to make video search and case-building faster. The rollout expanded from a test in some of the 50 high-shrink stores to more than 500 systems the next year. With 3VR, investigation time dropped from about a week to 20 minutes, more than 1,000 store audits were completed in 12 months, and ROI was achieved in 6 to 10 months, helping Chico’s save millions in bottom-line profit.
