A 3T Logistics Case Study

Preview of the LINPAC Packaging Case Study

LINPAC implement a ‘flexible, low cost transportation solution’ with help from 3T

LINPAC is a global market-leading manufacturer of plastic food packaging with operations in 29 countries and over 7,000 staff. Facing complex UK distribution challenges—two main distribution centres, a dedicated fleet and five satellite depots with duplicated resources—LINPAC needed to improve flexibility, cut logistics costs and boost profitability while maintaining high customer service levels.

3T centralised stock, withdrew satellite sites, outsourced the in‑house fleet to shared-user carriers and established a nationwide next‑day delivery network, supported by improved processes (optimal transport diaries, MOQ advice, visual load/status interfaces, parts database and order tracking). The result was significantly lower operating costs, delivery performance of around 99.5%, up to a one‑third reduction in transport CO2 in places, and an ongoing continuous‑improvement programme rolled out across other European operations.
