Harvard School of Public Health wins a Hauser Grant and reaches 190+ countries with 3Play Media

Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) sought to enhance student engagement by integrating its library of leadership videos and classroom lectures directly into faculty course materials. The challenge was to create a customizable video learning platform with interactive transcripts and search functions that would allow for greater student participation and collaboration. To achieve this, HSPH partnered with vendor 3Play Media to utilize its interactive transcript and video search platform.

3Play Media built a customized video learning interface for HSPH that featured video search, searchable transcripts, and a clipping function for students to share and comment on specific video sections. This solution successfully integrated with the school's course websites. As a direct result of this innovative platform, HSPH's proposal to use the tool was awarded a 2012-2013 Hauser Grant. The project enhanced the learning experience and is planned for expansion to other subject matters across the university.
