One of North America’s Largest Greenhouses Achieves Dramatic Cost Savings with 3Gtms

Green Circle Growers is a family‑owned greenhouse with more than 100 acres of indoor growing space and is one of North America’s largest suppliers of seasonal and tropical plants to retailers. Rapid growth exposed weaknesses in its transportation processes: shipments (mostly multi‑stop full truckloads) were managed manually in an ERP and spreadsheets, leaving little control over rates, routing and carrier decisions and creating operational inefficiencies.

Green Circle implemented 3Gtms for its built‑in optimization engine that handles complex constraints and real‑time changes to build realistic multi‑stop loads. The TMS boosted trailer utilization from 76.4% to ~80% (about $600K savings), cut 288 loads (~$520K savings), delivered roughly $815K in savings from better freight data and carrier choices, sped up communications and analysis, reduced emissions, and provides a scalable platform to support future growth.
