AmerCareRoyal, a major manufacturer and distributor of disposable food packaging, needed to differentiate itself in a commodity market on the basis of cost and service. In 2020 its logistics team set out to lower shipping costs and improve service simultaneously — goals that conflicted under a manual quoting and consolidation process that generated heavy email traffic and limited capacity utilization — and selected 3G’s TMS as the solution.

Deploying 3G’s TMS automated rate shopping and load consolidation, cutting shipping costs by about 6% while speeding daily planning from a day-long grind to a few hours and giving customer service direct access to order tracking. Consolidated multi-stop shipments rose from 150–200 to ~800/month, LTL loads fell by ~400/month, and routing optimizations reduced miles driven by almost 20% (about 1.5M miles/month), saving roughly 2.4M gallons of diesel annually and ~22M kg CO2 — improving service, profitability, and sustainability.
