Metro France secures 20-year green power with 3E’s due diligence for Boralex’s 23 GWh solar park

The food service provider METRO France sought to achieve energy budget certainty and meet its corporate social responsibility objectives by entering into a long-term Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA). To mitigate the risks associated with this complex process and secure the necessary investment, the renewable energy developer Boralex appointed the consulting firm 3E to perform a Technical Due Diligence on the La Grange du Causse solar park project.

3E conducted an independent review of the technical and contractual aspects of the solar project. This due diligence service provided by 3E identified, assessed, and helped mitigate potential risks, which secured financing from lender BPCE Energeco. The successful outcome was a 20-year CPPA for the 15.9 MWp plant, which is expected to generate 23 GWh annually and cover around 20% of METRO France's power needs.
