Vaupell’s Midwest Tooling Shop Builds Molds to Meet ISO Standards with Cimatron

Vaupell is a full‑service contract molder (founded 1947) with a tooling facility in Constantine, Michigan, that specializes in medical and other high‑performance applications. Designers face extremely small parts, exotic/resorbable materials and very tight tolerances, while customers increasingly demand 3D models, faster delivery and frequent engineering change handling.

To meet those needs Vaupell adopted CimatronE MoldDesign, using its robust part-import, mold‑base, ejection, cooling and runner tools plus reusable tool libraries and 2D/3D workflow support and training. The change removed two to three days of manual modeling, accelerated ECO turnaround (often cutting a day to half a day), eased ISO‑13485‑level tolerancing and boosted productivity and customer satisfaction by delivering accurate 3D mold models faster.
