Trust System Builds Model Making Productivity with CJP printing from 3D Systems

Trust System, a specialist in accurate 3D city and topographic models, relied on its own CAD/CAM tools and a cutting machine but faced workflow bottlenecks: prototypes required skilled model makers, the cutter couldn’t handle overhangs or internal cavities, and it couldn’t produce multicolor samples. Those limits made it hard to respond quickly to clients, hampered communication during reviews, and led to lost business opportunities.

The company adopted 3D Systems’ ProJet CJP full‑color 3D printer to produce rapid, multicolor prototypes. The new process simplified operation, reduced turnaround (cutting some projects to about half the time—e.g., a two‑day earthquake model), improved client communication, minimized waste and safety risks, enabled easy replication of models, and opened new business avenues such as online model‑creation services.
