A 3D Systems Case Study
Jamesway Tool and Die, a 20-person shop in Holland, MI serving stamping and molding customers across industries like appliances and automotive, needed to stay lean and competitive while handling imperfect customer CAD data, improving shop and customer communication, and growing revenue without adding headcount. Relying on 2D work and outdated files created delays, missed details and limited the complexity of jobs they could accept.
By adopting Cimatron 3D and consolidating mold, die, and CNC programming, Jamesway now stitches and uses poor-quality imports, visualizes tooling on shop-floor stations, and leverages advanced analysis and features (springback, blank-on-binder) to predict issues and speed development. The result: roughly double the productivity, shorter lead times (one die finished 1½ weeks early), better customer collaboration, the ability to take on more complex jobs, and measurable improvements to the shop’s bottom line.
