Taking Creativity to a New Level with Color Jet Printing

The Vladimirsky Center for Glassware and Containers is a growing design-and-manufacturing firm that develops glass bottles from sketch to finished product. As customer demand and complexity increased, traditional hand-made prototyping with plaster, wood or Plexiglas became too slow and imprecise—especially for tall (up to 35 cm) or geometrically complex designs—creating a need for faster, more accurate methods.

The company invested in a 3D Systems Projet 660Pro color jet printer, whose large build chamber and inkjet layer-by-layer process produces detailed, multi-color prototypes in days and can print multiple models at once. The printer cut development time and costs, enabled new capabilities (corking, labeling, customer line testing), expanded product offerings, and quickly paid for itself while raising precision and responsiveness to customer needs.
